Top 5 "Most popular" Firearm Forums?

Just out of curiousity I wonder which are the "top" 5 firearm forums?

I seem to visit THR & GlockTalk the most. (I don't even like Glocks, but they have a great "other gun" section.) The Smith & Wesson forum I like, but wish they offered a sub-section for "other guns".. "Family,Friends & Firearms" and "The Firing Line" I like, as well as KTOG for my KelTec interests..

What great firearms forum am I missing?

Just Curious.

Thanks,

J. Pomeroy

The only other forum I visit as regularly as THR is the SIG forum. I also check in at the Smith & Wesson and Ruger forums somewhat regularly. Occasionally I will read the Firing Line.

So my top 5 would be:
THR
SIG
Smith & Wesson
Ruger
TFL

AR15.com has subforums for different categories, which comes in handy.

I think AR15.com is the biggest that I know of.

After that, THR, GT, TFL, and maybe FALfiles.com are among the biggest.

There are websites where you can actually look up this information.

I mainly only have time to scan THR, but sometimes I'm also able to make it over to Kim duToit's forum: http://www.theothersideofkim.com/index.php/forums/ (formerly the Nation of Riflemen forums).

Surprised me too, I always thought arfcom had way more posts than here.

Surprised that 1911forum is that big, too. Always thought it felt smaller. Guess I only look at the slower moving subforums there.

I belong to some very good adult oriented firearm forums. These seem to be successful without the need of moderators and they lack the locked threads that are so prevelant in other forums. These forums are fun, and have a strong feeling of friendship and sharing.
I am going to keep those secret.

Im not going to say what other forum I might go to out of respect.Seems to me that would sorta be like taking a girl on a date and asking her more questions about her sister rather than her.If there was particular bit of info regarding a certain subject I might mention somewhere else or a link.

I enjoy this place,I like going a wee bit off topic sometimes,it breaks the routine but some other forums I've see they talk more about other stuff rather than guns. And I mean that,a general discussion section should be good for off topic conversation, but a couple gun forums I ve seen have more off topic sections like "sports cars" and "sports" then about guns.

Well, I believe the question asks which are the 5 most popular firearms forums in general? In that case there are TWO that REALLY stick out.

Glocktalk and ARF.com

1) Gloktalk
2) AR15.com
3) SIGForum
4) THR
5) TFL

www.rwva.org - because learning to use your Rifle properly is more important than anything you can do with it.

THR - for all the obvious reasons :)

glocktalk - preparedness board there is great and not full of TEOTWAWKI so much as just general preparedness.

floridashootersnetwork.com - nice to have a vibrant "home" community for shooting activities.

AR15.com - mostly for the trader boards.

Was that the question? Its my "big 5" even if they are not all actual big 5 !!!!

Then a couple of pay to play sites. THR is the best I have ever gone to. It where I spend nearly all of my forum time. Sure, sometimes threads get locked, but not often. And, I've never been harassed here like I was at an other forum. I guess it's because it's The High Road.

Ar15.com is good if ya want to read a bunch of crap by 20 somethings about killing zombies and scoring "pie" off the wife. Just cant deal with the massive amount of firearm nievate and imaturity on the site. As well as the fact that merely mentioning another site can get ya kicked if the "mod" is in a pissy mood. One of my favorite posts as of late is a bunch of winners arguing about the merits of putting a cheap gift in a Nintendo Wii box as a gift to a child:scrutiny:  . Numbnuts.....

That is only general discussion, if you actually go to the boards dealing with firearms there is a ton of useful information, but suit yourself.
