I guess it's close enough to go ahead and start a "what I got for xmas" thread.

Santa is bringing me a CZ452 Trainer. It was $100 cheaper than the Lux, and the walnut just wasn't worth the price. I'll post pics once the jolly guy in the suit delivers it. Mom asked for a nice flashlight so she's getting a Streamlight Scion with both chargers, and Dad is getting a range membership.

So, what are you receiving, and what are you giving?

I purchased a SureFire A2 Aviator for my father who is an elevator mechanic and will make good use of the high beam and LED lights.

I also purchased a SureFire E2E flashlight for my best friend serving in the Army at Ft. Carson, CO. He wont be home for Christmas so I mailed him the package and he loves it. I am proud of him.

Besides that, I am looking forward to returning to CA next friday, my Kimber will be coming back from the shop and I will be back at the range with my 45 ACP. Cant wait, oh how I miss it so.

Well, I don't think anyone's getting me any gun related stuff this year, but you never know..

While the Visa was warmed up, I did just buy my FAL a Para folder (http://www.falconarms.com/xcartNEW/product.php?productid=16317&cat=0&page=1&featured) for Christmas though. Does that count? :)

I gave my son a bare-bones Remington Model 700 BDL (http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_rifles/model_700/model_700_BDL.asp) in .30-06. I have never hunted with a scope and I felt that if he should want one, he should have the opportunity to select it rather than putting up with one he may not have wanted. My knowledge of the available optics is limited and with such a wonderful firearm, I didn't want to mess it up for him.

In order to save time during his busy season, Santa managed to pick the lock on my safe a few weeks back and secretly deposited a new Colt 6920 EBR therein. It supplements the slightly less evil Bushmaster (which lacks a telescoping stock, flash hider, and bayonet lug) already in residence.

But seriously, as the saying goes, it's better to give than to receive. So even more exciting to me this Christmas is the Savage Cub I bought for my 8 year old granddaughter. This diminutive .22 single shot makes an excellent first "real" gun. She knows it's coming, and can't wait to go with grandpa to the range sometime over Christmas break.

Note the rifle will stay in my safe, and she will only have access to it under strict supervision. She's a bright and very attentive little girl, and has already memorized the four rules. It'll be an honor to bring another shooter into the fold :D

Well, really I did not ask for one single thing :uhoh:, but old "HO-HO" is going
to deliver too me a really nice factory nickel 2" barrel Colt Lawman MK-III
(made between 1969-1978)*. I will be more definitive as to the extact year
once this "crown jewel" is in my hands. He says its about a 96 per center,
with the letter "L" prefix serial number. Santa didn't have too rob a bank
too get this one either; as the "price was right" at $225. Pics will be forth
coming shortly after Christmas Day~!;) :D

Actually, I cheated and peaked into Old Saint Nick's bag just to get
the serial number; and found out that this fine old Colt was made
in 1976 (birth year of my daughter), as per ProofHouse.com. The
S/N is L 37xxx.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I just opened my Bushmaster AR-15 A2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is BEAUTIFUL.

I named it after my best (somewhat anti) friend, and she is FLIPPING OUT!!!:D

Came with 2 30 round mags, one steel one plastic.

I dont know if all AR's are like this, but the trigger breaks like GLASS. And the upper seems heavier than other ones I've handled, so I'm guessing it has some sort of match barrel.

I've been playing with the action all day-- my fingers hurt...

Thanks Mom/Dad/Santa, and merry Christmas THR!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

Turns out dad/santa was at the range and met a fellow hard up on his luck with a few choice pieces to offer :) :)

So when I tiptoed down the stairs this morning I found this clumsily prepared package:

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/jordosaurus/sockgun.jpg

Shoulda bought a gun sock, that stocking was a little too short.

Given christmas tradition, I had to shake it and guess what's inside.

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/jordosaurus/shakashaka.jpg

ridiculous.

I also got like nine pounds of pasta. Why? I don't know, my family is weird. But the pasta pretty much sealed the deal.... this year gets MY vote for best christmas ever.

Sounds like Santa (and Visa/MC/Discover) was busy last night! No gun stuff for me right now,but I got permission to make use of the Dan Wesson Custom Shop if and when it's up and running soon. Schweet.

BamBam,that's awesome! Personally I'm holding out for the PS3's price to drop, but I've played my share of Xbox. I did manage to wrangle Final Fantasy XII as an early Christmas gift back in October.

I was a bad boy and got my presents before christmas - but when your beautiful wife gives you a Gift Card to Cabela's, what can you do? I got a Springfield XD-9SC, a boatload of 9mm ammo, and an itchy trigger finger.

I gave my Dad my Taurus 605 as an early present along with holster, ammo, and some quality time at the range with it. He's never been an Anti, but he has also never owned his own handgun - we're having fun learning about our new guns together!

My stepdad gave me the first firearm he's ever gotten me, a Savage Mark II .22 bolt action. It's very nicely balanced with the synthetic stock. I really love this thing. I've wanted a basic .22 bolt action for a while now, especially with some irons, and this fills the bill nicely. I was utterly shocked, as this was way out of left field.

I've just found out that the buttpad can be removed and the inside is hollow (instead of filled with the support structure, etc that they often are). It's not empty any more! Little sheath with band-aids, neosporin ointment, spare ammo, matches and dryer lint are now inside. Also a AAA mini-mag and some light cord. Handy dandy backpacking rifle now!

Merry Christmas all!
