Sounds like Lake City Ammunition Plant, 1963 ammo. The Nato cross in a circle is the NATO mark. USGI issue ammo, now surplus. Does the box say 118LR or M852 or anything? Any paint or color on the bullet?

Ammo that late is non-corrosive. They really had solved that by the end of WWII.

Ought to be good ammo. Standard USGI load in 30 cal.

LAKE CITY the cross signifies its Lake city and NOT hungarian, the 63 is year of manufacture it should be corrosive primed the reason for mercuric salt primers is longer shelf life when stored, Ya should always consider all military ammo corrosive and clean accordingly.

the SB could be

Arms Corporation of the Philippines, (formally Squires Bingham Co.) Marikina, Republic of the Philippines

Empresa Nacional Santa Barbara de Industrias Militares SA, Toledo, Spain

Israeli Military Industries, Tel Aviv, Israel

Sellier and Bellot, Schoenbeck/Elbe, Germany

They all use SB for headstamp

if ya can post a couple pics, better description, what kinda case's steel, brass what kind of case finish?

Sorry i dont have a digital camera at the moment so no pics.

The cases are brass and the SB 89 case also has 7.62x51 on it

Any paint or color on the bullet?

No, the primer is sealed with green lacquer though.

LC ball manufactured in 1962 is most definitely NOT corrosively primed.
