What an odd feeling...!

I awoke today, logged on, made my usual stops, here, there, started looking at the auction/sale sites just to see what's out there... and I suddenly realized... every handgun I really wanted I now own! The search for unfulfilled want... just wasn't there. I have acquired:

In .45,
Colt WWI repro to fondle...
Genuine 1918 Colt 1911 to think about history as it goes bang...
Kimber Series 1 stainless full size and Pro Carry SLE for carry...
Springfield XD-45 (my plastic, railed, all weather date carry)

In 9mm,
Springfield P9 full size stainless CZ clone for my full size, snazzy, dressy "Sunday go to meetin' gun"...
CZ 75 Compact for carry...

Colt Magnum Carry, for my .357 revolver that is pocketable, and 6 rounds worth...

Ruger MKII as my .22 plinker...

The only perhaps "need" I still feel will be taken care of by a PF-9 at some point...

I'm a satisfied, happy camper!!!

Ok... so what's wrong with me?? :D

This year I have been blessed with firearms, and firearms related products.
Thus far, I have acquired the following:

'06 started off with the purchase of a NIB Les Baer TRS 1911 in .45 ACP.
Then, along came a NIB Springfield Armory parkerized MIL-SPEC in .45 ACP.
In April, I bought a brand new Liberty Colonial Series RSC.
Then came along, a NIB Ruger 50th Anniversary Blackhawk in .357 magnum.
Followed closely by a NIB STS/SYN Ruger 10/22.
'Bout September there was this beautiful very early 3rd series (1972
production) 99% COLT Agent .38 Special that followed me home.
Then, last week a pristine 96% factory nickel 2" barrel COLT Lawman MK-III
.357 magnum that liked me so well that it came home with me.

I'm quite sure that I've probably forgotten one (or two), as I am known too
have senior moments~!:D :uhoh: ;)

Whenever I have that feeling, I take two aspirins, lie down for a while with a couple of gun catalogs to look at.
It always passes.

"...every handgun I really wanted I now own..." That's so sad. Time to look into another shooting game. CAS for example.

Nothing's wrong with you! You just clearly haven't identified all of your needs, yet! :D :D :D

Don't worry about it at all, Steelharp.

I've had that 'Gee, I have everything I want!' feeling also. It is temporary. You'll find something else you need fairly soon.

If not, work on learning to shoot what you have. If you stick with what you have, you'll be the best shot of the bunch.

I'm taking bets with Bill to see how long this lasts.

hmmm.....
I'm not seeing a P7, Luger, BHP....

My problem is that I'm never satisfied with wahat I have.

I envy your feeling of contentment.

You've got to have a light-kicking pocket gun. An old .32 or one of those Browning or Colt .25s. They're pretty cheap, and a handy size. My CZ-70 can punch a 4x4 piece of pine from ten yards every time. Split the board with nearly every shot, too. The .32s you can tote around the yard in a pocket - for when you're 'not carrying' a gun. Going out to look at your Christmas lights - why haul a 1911? Slip a .32 in the pocket in case you meet any zombies or snakes.

I don't see no cowboy guns in there. Why you haven't even got started. You will arrived when you get to the point where you can't remember what you have... :neener:

I never had a jones for a cowboy gun. My first gun, ever, was a Colt New Frontier .22 with lr and magnum cylinder... that's long gone. I like the history and mystique of the western style revolvers... I just never really felt the desire to own one.

I've never tried a .32 of any kind. Guess I've always had the mindset that .22's for fun, anything else I own needs to be big enough for serious business, if need be...

Oh, and chipperman... I've owned several BHP's, and as much as I loved them, the CZ design suits me better. I would have to handle a P7 in person to determine that one; looks too different to go sight unseen on one of those...
