I plan on ordering a Taurus 66 in blue with a 6 inch barrel. What should I look out for as far as functionality. Any Glaring reports about Manufacturing problems?
I'm NOT looking for Buy a S&W / Ruger and or XXX caliber advice, need people with Model 66 experience please.

I was thinking of buying one also...until I read this: http://www.grantcunningham.com/blog_files/no_taurus_work.html
Enough to change my mind...but probably I'm a little bit too cautious anyway.

My first centerfire pistol was a Taurus model 66 .357 magnum with a 6" barrel. Now almost 20 years later, it is still my absolute most accurate shooting gun. The only work ever done on the gun is a set of Pachmayr grips and a little crane work. I shoot mostly 38 special wadcutters out of it but the pistol sees a box of warp speed .357's every other week or so. You would have to beat me over the head to get it from me.
