How to Carry and Conceal 3" or 4" L/K frame sized revolvers?

I know several people that carry 1911's and Glocks and how they carry them. Don't know more than a couple people that carry (concealed) full sized revolvers.

When I was in college (back home in Indiana), I used to carry a 4" S&W 13 k-frame IWB on the strong side of my back in an inexpensive clip-on leather holster. I'd wear a t-shirt, and I had an denim or flannel overshirt that I'd wear untucked over the whole mess. Didn't bend over (I'd print); I learned to bend with the knees. Worked fine for me.
Of course, I was young and slim back then . . .

I've got a "Fist Inc" pancake holster that conceals my 4" GP-100 really well, not a L/K frame but similar in size (somewhere around there) I'd think.
I wear a vest, black...looks awefully tactical...and quite frankly I don't care....if the SHTF, I stick out anyway due to size...I'm a prime target right off the bat whether it looks like I might be packing or not.

I carry a revolver in 45 Colt with a 3-3/4 inch barrel. It conceals well with an untucked Polo shirt or untucked button up short sleeve shirt in eitheer an inside the waist band or a outside the waist band holster. The key is for it to ride high and tuck tight.

I carry a S&W M66 quite regularly when walking the dog. Sometimes in a cheap IWB, sometimes in a belt-slide Don Hume, and sometimes in a cheap but good shoulder holster.
I don't carry it as much in the summer; that's what the KelTec P11 is for.

Used to carry a 4" in a shoulder holster. That was when I wore suits almost every day. Now I almost never wear a suit, or coat of any type. Have an Old World Leather pancake holster that will conceal my 686 4" pretty good, with a shirt over it. I usually carry smaller guns these days because of the clothes I now wear in this hot climate.

I use an Old World Leather Holster too:

Gun is my 686 4 inch. Grip is Butler Creek rubber Boot Grip (Spegel design).
Here it is with and without covering denim vest:

Most of the time in the hotter months I carry my S&W 640 although right now I'm carrying the 686 because the 640 I sent off to S&W for a repolish & trigger job.

I've got to tell you, I've got a snubnosed Model 19 that I sometimes carry in a Blade Tech kydex belt holster, and -- even with the Hogue Bantam grip -- the butt sticks out and it doesn't just print, it announces itself to the world. Very disappointing. I've got a Don Hume belt slide holster for it too, but the fit is fairly poor, and the gun can't be re-holstered after the draw. The holster just collapses. So I don't know what the answer is. Oh, wait a minute, yes I do -- a Browning Hi Power! :D

ACP -- the answer is very simple. Use a high quality hand-boned leather holster as I posted above. Galco is the brand I usually prefer and it's what I carry my 640 in.

They have a kydex IWB that puts only the barrel inside the waist. Might be worth a try.
