Just curious on what all have your shot & killed with your .22 LR rifle?

What did ya kill? What did it weigh? How many yards away? ect.....

Son and I was offered to go the Bastrop County to shoot off coyotes or any other little varmints that we see. Yep all free and all 490 acres of it. Hey free target shooting, can’t beat that, right? :)

I just love to see what the challenges are up ahead and what to expect to kill w/ the .22 LR rifle. I know not to piss off a deer or pig, but don’t worry as a back up, my .380 will be at my side.

Heck maybe take the old .303 for the heck of it!!

Buy a Texas hunting license and read the Hunting and Fishing Regulations booklet that comes with it. You will see what game .22 LR is or is not legal to hunt.

Good shooting and be safe.

Rabbits, squirrels, crows (up close), pigeons, starlings, cowbirds, a groundhog, possum or two, raccoons (in through the mask as they are tough if body shot and you can't recover them to chop off their heads) and rats, lots and lots of rats.

Never shot a coyote with one. Always used a .22 centerfire, .220 Swift or .223, myself. If you used a .22 rimfire, have to be close.:uhoh:

you can kill anything with a .22lr(if ya wait long enough).

seriously, take the .303 along so you can handle whatever you want to try for.

its fun to have the extra range for the critters sitting way out there.

i really wish i had a place to varmint hunt here. i miss it.

anyone here in slo county with land?
