Hey guys-

I'm looking for a vertical rifle rack or plans to make one. This will be mounted to the wall and i prefer one that is wide and only one rifle deep rather then one that is narrow and holds many rifles on each side if that makes sense...

I'd prefer to buy one new or used as I just have no time to build one. But if you have plans please share them.

I thought I saw a photo here on THR of someone's hunting shack that had one like I tried to describe but cant find it now.

Thanks

Mike

I hope this is to go in a room with a vault door. Otherwise, GUN SAFE.

These days, an open rack on the wall is saying "Steal me, steal me!" to anyone who even looks through your window, and if it happens, the authorities will be all over you for "not properly securing your firearms".

There's some options for a rack with a locking bar that holds each rifle with a peg through the trigger guard or such, though.

The above url takes you to The Box O' Truth where there's a rifle rack design.

This is also a good website for real world shooting experiences.

Is this for display or just storage? Do you want a disguised front so it looks like i.e. closed cabinet doors or a heavy locked plexiglas front that will show the firearms but is not easily broken to get at them?

Thanks for the leads guys. Keep'em coming

The racks are for storage in my finished but windowless basement. I simply have just no room in the safe and canít afford a new one.

To keep my twin 8 year old boys out the room, it is secured by a 6 panel heavy pine door and has a keyed door knob but no DB but that is easily fixed. The firearms will be locked with their supplied locks or by some other means.

Aside from that I would like something for my shack where I can stand my weapons for the night without casing them. The shack will not have any firearms while not inhabited.

Thanks

MIke
