Anyone know of any long range ranges 500-1000 yards sort of distance in the North Carolina region? I heard rumours of such in the mountains though I just can't find much out there apart from a 500 yard range near the coast. I would love to do some long distance shooting and very rarely get to do so since the most you tend to find in my area is a 100 yards and 200 yards if I am lucky and I got a longer range and that at my brother in law's house.

The only 1000 yard range that I know of in NC is at Camp Butner.

You can shoot F class at Butner, but expect to pay a lot for a match. At $50, and then my gas there and back, they have priced themselves out of my price range. There are a couple of 300 yard ranges, Asheville, Boone, Charlotte, Salisbury, and they shoot 1000 yard benchrest near Wilkesboro.

I believe there is one on the coast I just can't remember the name. If I were looking for one there I would call Jerry's Guns in Morehead City.

If you get in touch with me there might be something we can do...:D

Really, where do you live? The rumors about the mountains are true, all of them:evil:

ps - you can come shoot with me for free, just bring some food or something. Play music, even better.
