I'm looking for a load using the following components, mainly since I have a bunch of them:

147 FMJBT
IMR 4064
Federal Brass
Winchester primers

I have a bunch of all of the above and I'm looking for an accurate round to plink with.

Thanks a bunch,

D

While I'm still working on some good .308 loads what I've seen so far is that 45.0 to 46.5gr of 4064 and 150gr (147) bullets get along pretty well together, with the exact load depending on the rifle.

Sorry folks, I'll be using these in my Savage 12 BVSS 308.

Thanks again,

The M80 ball bullet you have is not usually a tack-driver, but you should be able to put together something quite servicable using published data. 4064 is a great powder for cartridges of that size. www.imrpowder.com shows a starting load of 43 grains for a 150gr bullet, just fyi.
