The rear sight on my P99 was loose, and would slide left and right about 1/8 inch. I removed the screw and sight, and have determined that all of the parts are present. I'm guessing that the little piece that is set in the slide on top of the spring should go in with the tallest step on the top aligned toward the center of the slide. I'm thinking that the part must have rotated on the spring and quit locking the rear sight in place.

Can anyone verify this?

mine sorta does that on my sw99. but i have night sights on it. it doesnt move 1/8" but probaly bout 1/32 or 1/16
