lawson December 29, 2006, 09:21 PM every time i see one of these threads, i am so thankful that i don't have to choose just one :D i voted GP100, .357, 4" stainless. MrDig December 29, 2006, 10:51 PM I voted GP 100 cause thats the only one I own. 19-3Ben December 29, 2006, 11:12 PM SP101 3"bbl. As I have said before, it's the only one that is small enough to carry on a regular basis, but strong enough and with enough barrel length that it will do anything I ask of it again, and again and again....from now until my great-great grandchildren finally break in the gun. Yeah. I just got one last month, so it's my new baby. Waywatcher December 29, 2006, 11:48 PM 4" Stainless GP100 with Meprolight night sights. Easy to maintain and tough. BlkHawk73 December 30, 2006, 08:31 AM Blackhawk (Bisley configuration) 5 1/2" bbl chambered in 45 Colt - capable of just about anything I'd ever need. :) Starter52 December 30, 2006, 09:32 AM I went with the Mod. 627, but a Mod. 66 would be my true favorite. GunNut December 30, 2006, 12:06 PM Although i would love to have one of each, I chose the S&W 629. Specifically, a 5" barreled S&W 629 w/out the lock. Steve Revolver Ocelot December 31, 2006, 01:27 PM if there are any you think should be on the list but aren't just pick the closest to it and name the one you wanted. jad0110 December 31, 2006, 05:18 PM My 686+ 4", what else? ;) http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/jad0110/Smith%20and%20Wesson%20Model%20686%20Plus%20357%20Magnum/Medium/686_12-5.jpg Ala Dan December 31, 2006, 05:32 PM the S&W 686~! Bought one in early '81, shot the heck out of it and then sold it; opting for our platforms. 2001 saw me get reacquainted with this fine firearm in the form of a 6" 686-5. I have NEVER looked back~! :D Ala Dan December 31, 2006, 05:33 PM Oops! sorry for the double tap~! Haywood December 31, 2006, 05:35 PM SP101 2" DAO. I can dress around it verry easy. It can shoot full power loads more comfortable than the light weights. Stock grips are good. Good for camp. Good for the City. 461 December 31, 2006, 07:08 PM Tough choice as you listed my top three favorites. The GP-100, SP-101, and the Blackhawk. I could easily choose any of the three but I went with the GP-100 for versatility of roles. 10-Ring December 31, 2006, 07:46 PM Seeing that I just picked up my Python & that I've been wanting one since I was legal to purchase handguns in CA, I voted the Python :D http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r208/10-Ring/P1020622.jpg Huddog December 31, 2006, 08:29 PM Although I am generally a S&W guy, my .357 is a 6 inch Ruger GP-100. I picked the Colt Python for two reasons. They are absolutely beautiful, accurate and smooth and I missed a deal on one about 20 years ago b/c my wife and I had to eat for the month and I can't afford one now. But someday.
