I came across this on Amazon. It's called Trail Safe: Averting Threatening Human Behavior in the Outdoors (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0899972640/qid=1054101249/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-0709151-3517524?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) , by Michael Bane. The reviews on Amazon look good, but has anyone here read it?

Thanks for the input!

I haven't seen that book, but it might be interesting to see what he thinks is the solution.

Personally, I have my own solution. When I'm on the trail, and that is quite often, I carry the same solution I do when not on the trail.

"Here! Avert this, you threatening human, you!!"

I think the better books on the subject of Averting Threatening Human Behavior would be:

The Modern Technique Of The Pistol; by Gregory Boyce Morrison with Jeff Cooper Editorial Advisor, Gunsite Press, Paulden, AZ, 1991 & 2000, ISBN 0-9621342-3-6

Principles of Personal Defense; Paladin Press, Boulder, CO, 1989, ISBN 0-87364-497-2

To Ride Shoot Straight And Speak The Truth; Gunsite Press, Paulden, AZ, 1988 & 1990, ISBN 0-9621342-0-1 and by Paladin Press as ISBN 0-87364-973-7

That's just the start.

Thanks, Mr. Hill. I've read those books, and they are excellent. Do you have any experience with this new title, though?
