So I have 2 Howa Varmint model rifles. One a 308 and the other a 243. These are not range master tactical monsters, they are my hunting rifles. I use the heavyer barrels simply for my benefit (I'm able to hold them more steady). Yes they do enjoy some range time, and yes I do enjoy them being accurate but Im not going to be doing any competitions with them. That said....I need a new stocks for them. Im really looking hard at the Hogue pillar beaded stocks. Right price, right features, and comes with a heavy barrel channel for the howa (This has been a big issue while researching). Does anyone have any specific reasons I shouldn't look at these stocks? Anything I need to know?
Thanks all

Here it is installed on a Ruger 77 .243 the stock fit like a glove and the rifle is shooting very well.

I liked the first one so well I bid and won another for $55. This is the soft overmolded pillar bed stock. It will go on a Remington mod 700, I'm waiting on it to come in now.
