Hate to sound cheap, but does anyone have a decent source to have a Sako rebarreled? I'm not looking for super match accuracy, just want a 6.5x55 but am having a hard time finding one in a rifle I like so I've been thinking of having the a .30/06 or .270 rebarreled.

I know Shilen will provide and install the barrel for about $575 and I know they will do a fine job but if there's any way I could get closer to the $300 mark... :uhoh:

Am I asking too much for too little? I just want the cartridge, not 1,000 yard accuracy. Why do I have to be so gosh darn picky! :p

E.R. Shaw sells barrels for $135, installs for $60, blues for $80.
They do not list Sako specifically but say "virtually any turnbolt."
