I've got a question about these guns. I see that they come with ghost-ring sites and 3" chambers. However, are these made like the Ithica 37s, in that they have the bottom ejection? Also, is there any way I could fit a wooden stock pieces onto one of these firearms? I'm contemplating buying one of them.

They do eject from the bottom. But be careful. These are reputed to have feeding, ejection, and extractor problems. These copies are said by their users to not be as good as the Norinco Remington 870 copies.

Last year I got a Chi Com copy of the Ithaca 37. Don't know who made it.
The forearm was loose and couldn't be tightened. Finally used JB Weld to keep it tight.
It jams feeding and sometimes doesn't feed at all.
The overall workmanship and quality is poor.
The front sight fell off and I expect the magazine tube to fall off at any time.
All in all it's a piece of junk.

Ouch. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for...
There are two models of the Chinese ithicas, though. One is the ghost-ring synthetic model, the other is more traditional looking with longer barrel and shorter magazine. Same price, I just wanted to get some info about them.

Yes, stay away from this one.
Maybe the other gun falls in the group of first class products that China does make.

About 100 rounds of slugs through my synthetic and hasn't had any troubles yet...Admittedly, it did have some feed problems at first...about 50 rounds and its feeling pretty nice.
Guess its like anything else...you can either get a hit or a miss...I like mine...
I do know that when parts do start breaking on it I was going to try to use standard Ithaca parts for it.

Complete and utter junk. Not to mention safety concerns due to the poor quality of the gun.
If you want an inexpensive shotgun, just get a Mossberg Maverick.

I've yet to encounter another shotgun that would discharge a shell while trying to unload the weapon.

"Discharge" as in "fire," or . . . ?

like many other things in this world, I have yet to see that happen with my norinco knock-off.
not saying that it doesn't happen...
but after taking it completely down when I first got it (as I do any firearm I buy, new or used) I cannot see how that could happen without some index finger interference.
Sounds to me like someone probably went after the "spray and pray" shotgun effect and modified the trigger group.

The shotgun was unfired and brand new when I got it. When I returned it, the shopowner said that he had had many of this many of these returned with similar complaints. After that, I went to Wally World and bought a Mossberg Maverick for $165 and haven't had a single problem with the gun.

They're pretty much a hit or miss proposition. I've got the one with the heat shield, Ghost Ring sights, Parked finish, and sling swivels. It's turned out to be pretty reliable, although the front sight looks a bit clunky.
For $150 you get what you pay for. One thing I do like about it is the all-steel construction (even the trigger guard).
That said, I'm saving for an 870P :D
