I seem to remember that at least a couple of folks here have had S&W replace their 6-shot L-frame cylinders with the 7-shot version - obviously I'm not holding my mouth right when I do a search, 'cuz I'm drawing a blank.

So, I'm just gonna put the question out there - how much does/did this particular job cost?

Also - I wanna make sure that S&W cannot/will not retro-fit the "doofus lock" to a pre-lock gun that is sent in for this kind of service. Personally, I don't see it as being cost-effective for S&W, but I want to be sure...
