Hello everyone! I have a freind who wants to sell me his Python for $500.00. It is in great mechanical condtion probably has about 200 rounds shot thru it since new in 1970. 6in, bluing is fair to be nice about it. I would have it re-blued. Sound like as screaming deal to you guys as it does me? Thanks!

I know! Aint it grand! Im as happy as a guy can be as I never owned a python but allays wanted one. I did have a Diamondback, you know the .38 specail Python, loved it but stupidly traded it or a Walther PPKs in about 1979.

Just about any Python that you can stuff bullets in one end and they come out the other end when ya pull the trigger is gonna be worth $500.

How bad is it ? Can we get some pics ?
If you reblue it, it won't have that collector value you may be looking for.
It sounds like a nice deal on a wonderful shooter.

I had a 6 incher re-blued by Colt o couple years ago and it only cost $165 and I got it back in 4 weeks. Yes it looks new. Snatch that one up. I just bought a 4 incher today for $800 out the door in a well used condition but mechanically fine. It is now the "little brother" to my 6 incher. I called Colt and both were made in 1978. Strange the 6 incher was bought new in 1979 for me by my dad because of my job (armed security officer) and the used one bought today made the same year. Oh if only they had consecutive serial numbers. Wish I knew how to post pictures.
