Can someone please tell me what the stock recoil spring in a Kimber Royal II is rated at (5" gov't model)? Seem to think it is 16#.

I just bought a GI guide rod and spring plug along with two Wolff variable power springs (one 16.5# and one 18.5#). I am replacing the FLGR.

Did I do good?

Ya done good. Factory weight is indeed 16# for a 5" 1911. I use 18.5# springs in my carry gun, so that's acceptable, also. I'd try both and see what gives you the best function with the loads you're shooting.
