I know that there are coversion kits to go from 9mm in the beretta 92 to 40 cal with the beretta 96 slide. does anyone know of a coversion to go the other way? Beretta 96 to 92, 40 to 9mm. just looking fo a cheaper alturnative to 40 cal, and i don't want to spend the money for a 22lr coversion
thanks:confused:

I remember reading a thread about this a while back. I believe the only difference between the frame of the 92 and 96 is the feed ramp with the 9mm version being slightly narrower. You should be able to put a 9mm slide/barrel assy on a 96 frame without any trouble. It should probably work the other way as well but it's possible that you might run into some feeding problems.
Do you know where I could get a 9mm slide/barrel so I can convert my 96?? :D

For some reason I want to say try CDNN.

CDNN has 96G slide/barrel assys. As far as i know they don't have any 92 assemblies. Already bought one of those to keep for spare parts.:D
