I have all but decided that I can scrape up enough funds to do the trip down there ... an excuse for a vacation with Mrs P95 and a chance to see some people en route.

I believe the show is actually 14, 15 and 16 but i shall target the Saturday. I still have to get my final directions.

Any TX guys likely to be there from THR?? If so .... do say ....... and, where might be a good spot to meet up and say hi ( I have no clue as to layout etc) ..... be a great opportunity to put faces to handles etc ......... apart from maybe buying some guns!:)

That'd be the Dallas Market Hall Gun Show. They happen about four or five times a year, seems like. The last couple that I went to, though, were a teensy bit depressing. Nobody was really willing to deal. I was looking to sell a couple of rifles, and maybe pick up a new pistol or longarm, and people were just asking stupid prices for stuff...I was hard-pressed to find anyone asking MSRP for a piece!!

There were an AWFUL lot of AR-15s, so if that's your bag, you should do well. If I go, I'll be there with my buddy Brad. I'll know more as the date approaches. Of course, I'll just be there to gawk...no money. :(

I have to buy SWMBO her new carry pistol so I can have my Glock 27 back. Need a few odds and ends for some of the milsurps I have. Can't buy myself anything until SWMBO is set up. She probably will want one of those carry purses too. I don't know what day I will go. As far as I know the show only runs Sat and Sun.....chris3

....... a buddy of mine from E TX is going and gave me these directions ......Stay on 30 all the way into Dallas.... you'll be all up in the skyline area and then you will exit onto 35E NORTH (exit 44A, to Denton)

Keep on that rascal a ways till ya get to exit 430 B-C.. says Market Hall/ Wycliff Ave. Take it.

Market Hall sits NW of the Highway you exited. Shouldn't be more than a 1/2 mile. Its too hard to miss. If you pass the tall oval shaped, cut granite walled building...... then you went too far. I plan to meet up with him and another guy about 12 noon sat 14 .... at the snack stand . which I believe is (as it was described) ..... ''center left'' in the hall.

If I remember, I'll put a sticky label on my shirt ... with handle ..... so if any of you TX THR guys might be there .... keep a lookout ... be great to shake yer hand!
