Has anyone ever heard of or have a Mossberg model called a "DA"?
I got a call today concerning this model and whether I could adjust its trigger pull. I had to say I'd never heard of one. Clue me in on this one please.

Nothing strange about it really. It's actually a 590DA, which is the basic model 590 but with a longer pull double action only style trigger. If I'm not mistaken, it's the first ( and only ? ) double action pump action shotgun sold for civilian use. I think it was released in 2000, and I'm not sure if it is still produced or not .. though I think not, since it didn't find a place in the market.

I dont remember seeing them on the mossberg website last time I looked at it, but Hex pretty much nailed it. Longer, heavier DA-feeling trigger. I handled one at a gun show, asked if I could dry fire it (he let me), and afterwards I set it back down on the table with a "***" look on my face.
But, IIRC, if they want a lighter trigger, a 500 (or the stronger 590) trigger assy drops in. I wont swear to it though.
