I'm looking for a blued 870 Wingmaster 12GA improved-cylinder rifle-sighted 18/20" slug barrel and can't find it in Remington's current offerings. It appears that current Wingmaster barrels all come with the RemChokes? What's the deal, am I out-of-luck wanting the simplicity of a solely Imp Cyl smoothbore Wingmaster barrel with no RemChokes?

Remington part number 242549 is a parkerized 18" IC rifle sight 870 bbl. PN 242542 is the 20" version of the same thing. These are listed in the Remington LE 870 Parts catalog, which I have on pdf but does not seem to be posted on the remingtonle.com website any longer.

My Wingmaster is an older one from the '70s, which requires a Wingmaster barrel to include the magazine cap detent, yes? Plus, I would like to match the existing blue finish. I've gone through the 6/2006 Rem Parts List and don't see one. Do/did they exist?

I bought a blued barrel in that configuration for a 20ga. 870 for $100 at the local retailer several months back---they had plenty others in 12ga---I was thrilled to actually find one in 20ga. It was at Scheel's in Omaha.

Might want to check Cabela's and Bass Pro too---and possibly Midway or Brownell's.

The new "police" fixed IC Rifle sighted barrel from Remington are larger in diameter from the chamber to about 8 inches down and may require relieveing the groove in the fore end for the magazine tube.:)
