Did I make a mistake

Well, I sent my Glocks (g19, g27) back for the frame rail recal, and it all went pretty smoothly, but when I got them back, it said on the receipt that they had been entered in the warranty database - or something similar. I guess it's probably no big deal, because we all know that the government keeps the records of who buys a firearm (i.e. background check, etc). It's just the thought of being in another database that makes me nervous.
what do you think?

In the scheme of things, I think it's probably more important to have a sidearm I can trust, than worry about theoretical dangers of being on the manufacturer's warranty list.
Conceivably, that list might be dug up under certain scenarios, and Glock, being a German company interested in government contracts is likely to roll over in the face of a warrant, but I think we'll all have plenty of warning before any mass confiscation could begin. After all, there aren't enough ATF agents to raid everyone simultaneously.

So the first step to confiscation will be to shut down the internet ...?

They would need to turn off telephone service too.

Actually, you've identified one of the achille's heels:
That of an goof proof, widespread emergency communications medium, capable of getting out the message: "Help! The confiscators have come to address/coords", and, of course, some people who'd actually monitor that channel of communication and are prepared to show up to at least bear witness.
You may assume that in a raid, you will have:
Your power cut,
Your phone's land line cut,
Your cell phone jammed,
and your computers confiscated for good measure.
In a longer siege situation, count on losing water and gas as well.

It may not be a bad idea. I bought an expensive Ovation guitar back in the late 70's and actually registered it with Ovation. I sent in the warranty card. A couple of years ago, the guitar developed a crack in the neck. I called Ovation and they asked me for the serial number inside of the guitar. I gave it to them and they knew who I was and that I was the original purchaser. Anyway, lifetime warranty and they replaced a $1,600 guitar for free. Had I not sent that warranty card in I would have gotten nothing.
The feds already know you have the guns anyway. Now that Glock has you registered, they can notify you of further changes and may replace things for free that they would normally stick you for.

1. Glock is an Austrian company.
2. How about Amateur radio for communications? There are emergency networks already in place in case of civil emergencies.
