I have a very nice 24-3 that I'd like to date. Is there a website we can go to to find serial number / mfg. date ranges?
Mine is ABZ 0474

No on-line resource I know of, but the 24-3 was only made 1983-1984. I have one too, they are nice revolvers!

The 24-3 was a limited production item (around 5500-6000 made) and all were made in 1983.

Most S&W fans rely on the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Nahas and Supica for S&W info.
