It's generally positive towards the use of firearms for self defense, but I don't understand why they call this guy a "vigilante" - when he was clearly simply defending himself and his co-workers/customers. It's not like he went out hunting for these thugs. Quite the opposite actually. The fact that he is now sitting in jail is obscene. The only negative thing I see about the situation is that he wasn't able to take down all three of them. Hopefully he'll spend some time at the range when he gets out of jail so he'll be better prepared next time.

Store owners and their workers say they'd like to have guns to protect themselves, but the process of getting a permit was too painstaking.

That says a lot. Methinks it points towards a shift in politics coming to this area soon.

I hope these shopkeepers can find a good lawyer to sue the @%#% out of the papers for branding them as "vigilantes" for lawfully defending themselves.
