A friend just finished up jury duty and put away a felon that had a Colt 1911A1 marked with "Korean War" and stag or ivory grip panels. Anyone have any idea what something like that might be worth? Just wondering if this could be the real deal or a copy of some sort and figured someone is bound to have seen one somewhere. This guy most likely stole it from someone to use in his crime.

Sounds like a commemorative limited issue model to me: worth a bit more than the regular Colt model 1911 A1.

well kinda sounds like the pistol my friend was given by his grandfather. dont think it has Korean War stamped on it tho. He was given a plated or something shiney 1911a1 marked goverment property with some stag grips on it....weird
