I have an ongoing project that I'm working on, just for fun.

I have a Springfield Champion that I am getting parts to be able to swap to different calibers.

The question is, what all calibers are out there? And what is interchangeable?

I've been told a 9mm barrel will work in my 38 super slide. True? Does it run the same extractor?

What about .40, 9x19, 400 Corbon, etc?

Anybody ever work a deal like this?

Any and all input welcome.

I have a Para Ordnance P-16 in .40 S&W for which I have a .357 SIG barrel on order. Should be quite a versatile setup. We'll see.

I have one built up for either .40S&W or 10mm. All I do is swap barrels and recoil springs.

I've got a Springfield Armory Omega 3 barrel set, 45ACP, 10mm, & 38 Super.....simply drop different barrels in and go.

Peter Stahls offers 11 different calibers for the 1911 Omega....check it out....
