Does anyone have any experience with the Mauser M2?

The Sig imported Mauser was so bad that Massad Ayoob wouldnt let it be put in the official Sig Book. Enough said.

Do a search , I remember a similar post like yours a few months ago. I think the problem was the quality of the gun, it didnt hold up or something. Check it out.

Had one, one of the very few guns I sold or traded off.

It shot well enough, average at best accuracy (for me), reliable, very comfortable to shoot which I attributed to the gun's wide grip (large surface area to tranfer the recoil).

Some of the downsides I didn't like about it include unusual stepped contour of the side of the slide (asthetics), location of the safety (like a small sliding on-off light/electronics switch in the rear of the frame above the grip/blow the slide - the tang area, to actuate it, you need the other hand), takedown required you lift the rear slide stop (otherwise it would hang up when pushed right to left), very wide and fat for a compact gun (not good for concealment), not a big fan of rotating barrel lock-up (fell that they are inherently less accurate than modified Browning).
