I just bought some Remington UMC ammo that is marked MC (metal casing); is this exactly the same as FMJ?
Also, while I'm here. Is the Remington UMC ammo made by an outside manufacturer and is it of lessor quality than that not marked UMC.
Just wondering.

This firearms dictionary says they're the same:

http://www.armsvault.com/glossary_m.asp

Metal Case (MC)

Also Full Patched (FP) or Full Metal Jacketed (FMJ). A type of bullet in which the core is completely encased in jacket material, except for an opening on the base. Standard military bullet type.

I'd never heard of "Full Patched" before...

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your other question.
