Hello gun fans,
I just got back from the indoor range where I shot my Guardian .32 acp. I've owned this gun for a few years now and I am still so impressed with the quality of workmanship and its handling that I thought I would post this mini range report for those of you considering a little pocket gun. I shot 50 rounds of Fiocchi fmj, 15 rounds of Speer Gold Dot and 15 rounds of Federal Hydra Shok. All fed and fired with zero malfunctions. Groups were nice and tight at 7 yards and went where they were supposed to. I know this is considered a mouse gun but I have to say that every time I shoot it I feel just a little bit more comfortable and confidant with it. Not ideal by any means but comforting when I can't carry anything larger. Mike

I was in the market for a Guardian....but I am poor, so I ended up with the Autauga MKII...Basically the Seecamp/Guardian design and I absolutely love it.

Shoots great, no failures...but I have to say, it bites the hand that feeds it...Not slide bite, but trigger guard bite. Never draws blood, but beats the hell out of my trigger finger knucke. Wow...I usually dont put more than two mags through it at a time.

But Aside from that, I couldnt be happier with mine. And I am sure I would be just as happy, if not more with a guardian 32.

And by the way, they are really cheap, 199 from cdnn. And from what i have seen, fit, finish, reliability are all on par with the guardian...Although spare parts may be hard to come by in the future.

arinvolvo, sorry to hear that your Autauga bites your trigger finger. One of the things I particularly like about the Guardian is that it is comfortable to shoot. Mike

My guardian kinda beats up my trigger finger as well. Also i've had something less than stellar reliability out of mine. I was having feeding problems and the occasional stovepipe (not on the last round) sent it to NAA and they could not reproduce the problem. I talked to their smith and he even handed my gun to a tour group and let them try it without any malfunctions. I think its cause my hands are kind of big and that teeeny little gun wiggles around a bit. Still like it and occasioanally carry it...its better than no gun at all.

Mike, it seems as thought the bite is getting tamer...the more rounds I put through it, the less I notice. Friday I put a mag of RBCD performance plus ammo through it, and the bite seemed milder than I remembered...Maybe the recoil spring is breaking in.

I bought one as soon as they came out. Had two problems with it. One problem was that the last round in the magazine often failed to feed. I sent the gun back to NAA and they fixed it immediately and sent it back to me with an extra magazine because of the trouble. Great outfit to deal with. The second problem I had was that the trigger was curved rather severely at the bottom and it beat my trigger finger up. I eventually traded the pistol due to the trigger, but I think NAA redesigned it later-- anyway they look straighter in photos of newer ones. Kind of wish I had it back now.--Leigh
