Different sized cases/chamberings?

That back one sort of looks like a 10mm.

arinvolvo

Are you pretending that you actually managed to find a fine leather holster for the Steyr?

HAHA....that was pretty finny nightcrawler....yes...i actually did...It is a Galco Fletch made for the STEYR....and get this...I got it in LEFTY!! Mwahahahaha!!!

So...to sum it up...you are wrong.:neener:

The slip-on grip is upside down.

Whoah....nice one...bunghole got ONE of the mistakes.

There is still one left...

Geez, I must be overtired. I'm pretty sure that those are .45ACP rounds.

If Steyr made an M45, I'd be all over it.

arinvolvo
May 30, 2003, 03:23 AM
Nope...not 45 ACP.

There is still one thing wrong with the pic.

Nightcrawler

They're .40 or 10mm then; they're too fat to be 9x19 and they don't have the case taper.

arinvolvo

got it....

The gun pictured is a Steyr m9....the bullets pictured are 40 caliber winchester white box semi wad cutters.

And as bunghole mentioned...the Hogue grips are indeed upside-down.

Nightcrawler and bunghole win....but you dont actually win "anything"....no prizes yet.:D

Akurat...NO cratz was wrong

"Different sized cases/chamberings?

That back one sort of looks like a 10mm."

Cratz was offerign that the three cartridges were of different sizes from eachother....Suggesting that the one in the BACK looks like a 10mm....

Wrong on all counts...all cartridges were same size....none were 10mm. But he was damn close.

When I first looked at it, the first thing I thought was that something looked wrong with the grip. But from looking at it, it seems if the grip were installed upside down from pictured, the back thingy would hang down too far...

And I still think that back cartridge is a 10mm... :neener:

arinvolvo

cratz...it is an absolute possibilty that a 10mm cartridge found its way into my 40 cal stash....except that it is NOT possible at all...I dont own a 10mm, nor does anyone in the house, nor have I ever even SEEN a 10mm cartridge in person.

SO there.:neener:

cratz2, I agree the back cartridge looks a little longer, but if you hold a small ruler up to your screen and measure the cases, you'll see they are all the same length. It's an 'optical conclusion' caused by the lighting and different orientation.
