Today we went to the range. I took my little sister, who is 13 years old...And like most little sisters, she wants to do everything her big brothers do. And she aint too bad at it either.

I have been most impressed with her willingness to follow direction...her range manners, and her general adherence to safety rules...but like most girls, I have to load her mags for her.

But I have to say..she aint a bad shot.

And lastly, the AR....notice the ever-present tactical VOLVO in the background, along with my tactical "little" brother.

Wow, you've got a big family! I've just got one sister, and she wouldn't touch a gun with a 10 foot pole. My dad is the only one that will target shoot with me...

And whats the story with the "tactical" overturned car?

arinvolvo
May 30, 2003, 06:17 AM
I dont know, but it definitely isnt a VOLVO.

That car has been there for as long as I can remember. It's a VW Beetle, by the way!

Good job arinvolvo. We all need to get as many young people as possible involved in shooting sports. Before you know it, they will be adults who can VOTE!

Awwwwwwwwwww!!! :D

I took my brother to the range and he has problems listening and following directions. My mom is worse. She took off her ears on the firing line  I was yelling at her to put them back on but it wasn't registering....

I have a strategic CRV....

Ok...everyone needs to realize, that the last two pictures are from a different person....I dont have a huge family, I dont own any CZ guns...etc...The last two pics are from a member called Kevlarman, and they were not taken in the desert of Nevada, and they are not of MY cracker white family.:p
They are however very nice pics of Kevlarman's family.

And Jade...I said MOST girls....Therefor leaving room for extraordinary women such as yourself and Tamara, and Runt, and whomever else may be of the female persuasion around here...So roll those eyes elsewhere.:neener:

"everyone needs to realize, that the last two pictures are from a different person"

oops, that was my bad. The landscape looked the same to me and I assumed the pic must have been from the same person. Sorry, I should know better than to make stupid assumptions.

I'm sure you guys are probably gonna say "what do you mean it looks like the same landscape", but to me, you seen one desert you seen em all. Glad I live in the middle of the forrest...

No worries David...But ya, I cant imagine how those landscapes look the same...Id be hard pressed to find rolling hills like that out here in Nevada.

Lil' sis's stance & form look good to me. Physics says the pistol is a higher percent of her body weight, so she needs more lean to compensate. Arms look good, though. Hands look good. Sight picture looks good...

I'll bet she was pretty on-target, too.

It's always nice to take younger people out to the range, introduce them to shooting. BTW, is your older sister single? ;)

I dont have an older sister...but I DO have a widowed Grandmother...Interested?

Good show! Keep'em interested.

One thing came to my attention on the shot of little sister with
the AR...Going by the position of her head on the stock, she
may be cross-dominant...searching for the target with her
left eye in a right-handed stance. It may just be the angle of
the camera, but it doesn't look like her right eye is in line with the scope. When I noticed this with my wife, I suggested that she
switch sides, and her hits went WAY up.

Shoot straight!

Why is it that the first word out of people's mouths when someone posts a pic of someone shooting is always "look at all the (insert example of bad form here")?

and why does your sister look like my niece?

No no...Not bad form...Just looks like she may be straining
her left eye trying to line it up with the scope.
