Do they make a Beretta Vertec WITHOUT an accessory rail?

All I have seen are ones with that stupid rail, do they make it without the rail? It seems like a good idea to make the Vertec because the grip on the regular 92 is a little chunky for most people but why did they have to go and put a rail on it?

I think a Vertec without the rail in SS with nite sights and a couple of hi-caps would make the perfect 9mm for me.

Nope.. the rail is one of the defining features of the Vertec line.

I suppose you could have them milled off, and the frame re-anodized.

Skunk's pic brings a few questions to mind:

1. Is there a release date for this thing yet?
2. Will they take my firstborn child as a down payment?
3. Could Beretta's web site suck any more? I swear, I don't know ANY other manufacturer of any product that says "Hey, I know.. let's put up a web site, but only list 1/3 of our products!" :rolleyes:

Well, after owning the Vertec for a while, it kinda grows on 'ya. It doesn't seem quite as "unattractive" to me as it did when I bought it.

No release date, I don't know anything other than what shotshowreports said.
Beretta's site sucks but it could be worse. Go and download their 2003 catalog from their site, and forget the webpage, which I might add again, sucks. I think us folks on Berettaforum did more advertising for the Elite II than Beretta.

I'll second that, Skunk! I got way more info on the Elite II from you guys than I did Beretta.
