I don't know how it all breaks down for 2,500 primers and 50-lbs of shot.

But he even helped me carry it all out to my vehicle!

So I'm calling it a heckuva great price!

You need to go back and get all you can. Around here, shot is now up to $29.99 a bag retail. Several of us went together a few weeks ago and bought 1,000 pounds of shot from the manufacturer, and got it for $17.00 a bag, but he told us the price was going up about $5.00 a bag on his end, due to the price of raw materials and environmental regulations.

Rifle and pistol primers are about $19.00 to $21.00 per thousand, depending on where you get them, and shotgun primers are about $28.00 to $30.00 a thousand. There is supposed to be about a 15% price increase on some components that contain copper and lead, so you did really good.

Know what you mean about lead prices.

One week before Xmas I bought a bag of Lawrence Magnum 8.5 shot for $20.95.

Five days after Xmas I bought another bag just like it at the same store for $24.95.

Called this past Monday and was told it was $30.00 a bag.

Went there today to bite the bullet and buy the field load shot I needed and it had gone up again!

Hasn't even been a month!!!!!!!!!
