Anyone here have any experience with safes from this company? I have looked at their site and am reasonably impressed with their products. Just looking for firsthand info.

Lots of fancy words used to impress the buyer. These safes are imported, and sold under many different brand names. I sell some of these safe under a different name at a lower price.

SSS has a bad reputation in southern California where they are made (Long Beach)...bad welds, bondo to cover defects and nonexistent service.

I know this is an older thread, but I would like to comment.

I recently called Pentagon Safes, I was ready to buy one. I had gotten a quote from Kevin Hand of $899 shipped for their "footsoldier" safe with all the options.

Kevin was the rudest person I have ever spoken to on the phone. I can't imagine why any business would treat a potential customer like he treated me. He spoke to me like I was a "special" person, and didn't allow me to even get a word in. Every time I would try to speak, he would cut me off and try to sell be a much more expensive safe than I was interested in.

He acted like he didn't value me as a customer at ALL, unless I was going to spend at least $1000. He talked trash about their own less expensive safes, calling them "chinese", and he talked trash about all other companies.

So basically, he talked trash about cheap safes and other comanies, talked over me, and tried to sell me a $1300 safe. I was less than impressed. He REALLY didn't want to sell their base model safe at all. He stated that they don't make much profit on it.
