How hard is it to change your address after you get a C&R FFL?

I want to get a C&R license, but I may be moving in the near future or next few months. Not out of state, not even out of town. How hard is it to get your address changed with everybody after you move? Is it worth it? Is there another processing fee? Should I just wait?

I think that it is just a matter of sending in a form and then waiting for them to send you a new C&R FFL. Not a big deal but it could be a bit of a wait. Also I doubt if you could use your old one while waiting for the new one (after you move). If you are planning on moving soon anyway my suggestion would be to just wait and send in the paperwork the day that you move.

I think I'm gonna go for it, because the address I will be moving from is my father's. Soooo, that wouldn't be considered misuse of the FFL if I continued to use it until my address was updated would it?

One note - the address change form requires that you attach your lease and provide contact info for a landlord, which brings the posibility that they might demur. Seems the form is primarily intended for 01 use, but I don't see any 03 exceptions for this lease info provision listed in the directions.
I'd strongly consider just paying another $30 so I didn't have to get a landlord involved in the approval process and give out info I don't want to share w/ a govt. bureaucracy. The strange thing is the initial application makes no issue of lease info.
If you own, then you're in the clear.

Just fill out Items 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on the form and sign in the indicated places. The other items are for dealers. Just put NA in those blocks. My new license came in less than 2 weeks, but it didn't involve a move to another state and I kept the same FFL number. If you are moving to another state, you will get a different FFL number and it might take a little longer than my change did. You also have to send in the original of your current FFL. Filing the form is not an option. The regulation requires you to do so.
