does anyone have the link to the article that was posted on here about how america is not, nor was ever meant to be a democracy.
i tried a search but
constitutional representaive republic
and
representaive republic
showed no results and any break up of those phrases brings too many results

If you spelled "representative" in your search the way you did in your post, you aren't likely to get many hits.

haha that coulda been why. :banghead: i just cut and copy's after getting sick of typing it in search engines. must have spelt it wrong the time i copyed.

If you want a more in-depth explanation, then get a copy of "The Federalist Papers," written by John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, and James Madison.
They do a good job of explaining a republic vs democracy (as well as the rest of the Constitution).
