Suppressor help

So how exactly does one go about buying a suppressed firearm? See them at all the gunshows but never got around to talking to anybody about them. I live in Virginia if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Here is a great website for silencer/suppressor information.

On that page there is a link to a listing of various silencers and their performance.
There is also a wealth of information in the forums.
Very helpful for deciding on which suppressor and the process for how to acquire one.
The process is pretty much the same wherever you are.
Need a Law enforcment signoff, and an ATF background check.
You also have to pay the $200 tax stamp. Thats the extremely abbreviated summary, here is another link that might help.

Spend some time at the silencer tests forum. It will answer all of your questions on the process to get a silencer.
Expect it to take 1-3 months from the time you buy it to the time you get to pick it up.
