Does anybody know where some good knife shops are in the DFW metroplex?
I usually go to Sportsman's Warehouse in Lewisville or Porter's Army/Navy in Irving, but I'd like to find more. Specifically, I want to get my hands on a RAT-3 1095 and a KABAR Impact spear point 1095 so I can decide which one to get.
Any leads are welcome,

I like this store. They seem to have one of everything.

I went to The House of Blades today. Their prices are way too high. Some knives were reasonably priced, but most were WAY overpriced. Their KABAR TDI plain edges were $10 more than everyone else, the large TDIs were $20 more. They had a Ontario RAT-7 for $180. Their KABARs were between $70 and $100. I've never seen a S&W fixed blade worth over $100.
One employee continued to tell the other a story as we entered. The only words I could make out were curse words. The other looked at me like I wasn't supposed to be there.
The only time they said anything to us was when we were leaving.
I'll never go back. It was the worst store I'd been to in a long time.

I was there a couple of months ago and remember a small hole in the wall place right in the middle of the Stockyards. Just knive but they too were kind of pricey on some items.

Try the Cutlery Collection in Willow Bend mall in Plano. Nice stuff, sometimes some Randalls and other upscale items. Good Swiss Army knife selection.
Academy Sports on Forest Ln. near Central Distressway :D has carried some basic Schrade and Buck types, and Wal Mart may handle those. Most Army-Navy stores have staples like that. Even Target has some Swiss Army knives, in blister packs.
The big gun shows at Market Hall have many knives, some more reasonably priced than others.
The former Oshman's stores, now Sports Authority, have many basics.
