although I am not a Mossberg fan, these JIC kits are pretty cool:

I am a Mossberg fan because I'm a left handed shooter and Mossberg's tang mounted safety is more practical for me than trying to replace the right handed safety on the trigger guard of a Remington with a left handed one. As far as the kits go, I'd lose the pistol grip and include a standard synthetic stock, if there's room. That and the tools to install it look like they'd fit in the tube, along with some other essentials like a flashlight with lithium batteries. Cool! I wonder if the tubes can be purchased separately?

Nifty, but I'd be more interested in buying the tube by itself, IF it were long enough for a traditionally-stocked gun.

Seen 'em up close. I like the concept, but a shotgun without a stock looses about 90% of it's practicality, even in a defensive role. Leave the pistol grip on it when in the tube so you could use it quickly if need be but if they could fit a detached full stock in there as well it would be immensely more useful IMHO.

I was thinking the same thing, cause then my 870 could fit in it :D

Question- could a standard butt stock be slipped in with the stuff? I see the Mariner has a tool kit, but the Cruiser has the "survival in a can". I would get the Cruiser, add a standard stock inside, with a Leatherman, a few real survival supplies, oh, and maybe some AMMO!

An overfolding stock might work.

I sold two of the Cruiser kits. I asked my supplier if I could get the tube alone and he said no.

I saw one of these at a gunshow in Atlanta and although its a cool idea, its not anything you cant make yourself out of some of your own stuff and a PVC pipe. my .02

the marine coat costs about 100 dollars more than the black one?

and i bet a top folding stock would fit in there while attached to the gun. And fill all empty space with ammo:)

I was thinking the same thing. I think some PVC or ABS with one threaded end
would do. Add a rubber washer in the cap to make water proof.
