I wish more folks could have the experience of dropping the hammer on a .44magnum round... The most fun you can have with your clothes on.

well here's another Single Six I just put a new different scope on it.I had a red dot scope on it for a week but took it back. I was seeing more then one red dot,in fact shadows of 3 and it just got worse as I shot due to eye fatigue. The fellow at the store who sold it to me had the exact same problem with these red dot scopes.
The salesman calls a all silver gun/scope/rings a "space gun" :-) and doesn't like the look. So I bought black rings to break up that look. Very much more happy with it now,my 25 yd paper target scores went way up with this conventional scope
Hey Seancass did you scope your new Single Six ? It was you thinking of doing that I thought correct ?!?

Billy403, i had mentioned that a few times. a friend offered me a scope mount and i need to chase it down. he thinks he has one. I looked at small red-dot 1x scopes for it the other day and really liked one, but would like 2x, or so. can you discribe your scope and hint at the price? otherwise, i'm really short on funds right now, so just keeping them fed with ammo is about all i can do.
and to keep it on topic, i'd better post a pic.
Note to self: put away laundry before taking pictures.

seancass, Here's a link to the scope I bought.I didn't buy it at this site,I bought it at my local gun store for $149 (It's not a expensive one,I'm not made of money either :-)
I was lucky to find a hip holster at the store where I bought the gun that fits this scoped single six like a glove (and not huge either like some holsters for scoped revolvers are) I can't find the company on the net but their phone number is 814-629-8559 and are based in Jennerstown,Pa just a short distance from where I live.

Some gorgeous SAs on here! Man oh man, how I want another since I picked up a stainless Blackhawk .357 (here on THR no less) last year!
Want: Freedom Arms 83 in .475 Linebaugh or 500WE (gotta wait, $$$)
Also want: Another stainless Blackhawk, in .41 or .44 Magnum. Probably .44 if I'm not handloading by then.
Did I mention: I really want to try my Grandfather-in-law's Single Six in .32 Mag? Neat gun, wouldn't mind a Single Six in 22lr for teaching new shooters and plinking...
Love those 1851s too, particularly the open tops...
I know some guys complain about picture threads, but I love seeing all the guns I want to pick up someday, plus it's nice to see what modifications are available.
