Any experienced Texican gun show veterans out there who might offer their advice about what one might expect of the quality of the show in Reliant Park next weekend? It is a long trip for me on what is threatening be a lousy weekend, and I have to decide whether it will be worth making the voyage.

Tks,

Jim

It was okay until they started selling sealed ammo...then it became a really good gun show...twice a year.

I was planning on going just to see what all is there.

Parking is a bit pricey due to it being in the Reliant but its aight I guess.

They normally have some neat stuff set up on the side of the show as well...old WWII vehicles and such. Last one I went to they had Paul Tibbits (yeah...Enola Gay Paul Tibbits) signing his book.

There are two other gunshows that I like to go to...one is the Saxet Gun show in Conroe and the high caliber at pasadena. both have free parking and are a bit smaller...more friendly, small town feel IMO. :)

Have fun!

the reliant show is the biggest in Houston, but it is 8 or 10 dollars to park now, plus 7 to get in, you will also park a full time zone away from any door. but their is a lot of military stuff, a lot of collectibles, lots of rifles of various kinds. their is allways this one guy who buys mass quantities of 22 rifles, and then sells them cash blow out priced. most of it is very average, but he will have a couple of things that are great. Last show he had an italian Weatherby mark xxii in 22, shoulda bought it, and a black stocked remmy 597 for 98 bucks cash.
