i remember hearing a while back about an open carry day, and i had heard of Feb. 2nd being the 2nd day of the 2nd month and its correlation with the 2nd amendment. I'll be carrying open, anyone joining me???

I've open carried on a regular basis since I turned 21 and I've never been harassed by anyone (police or otherwise), never had the police called on me, never had my gun grabbed out of my holster, never had anyone scream "GUN!", never gotten the evil eye :scrutiny: , never been shot first at a robbery, and have had nothing but polite comments.:D
I suggest that anyone who has suffered these issues either start educating people or move somewhere less barbaric.

I would never open carry!!! If that was all my state offered,it might
be different, but why let anyone know what you have?
Do you walk around with a few "c-notes" hanging out of your pocket?

I usually reserve open carry for when I am out in the wilderness or desert.

I also usually save open carry for hiking, etc, but I don't disapprove of it. I've done it a few times, but it honestly wasn't to make a point; my girlfriend was cold and I gave her my jacket. I would like to be more proactive about preserving the right by exercising it, but most Washington days are jacket days anyway. I suppose I can try to OC on feb. 2nd. Honestly, I think it will be a little cold in my neck of the woods, so I probably won't.

I open carry every chance i can, even into Cabela's(after they took down the no firearms sign) so far no one has targeted me or called the police,or run screaming off.

Probably will still be too cold here for open carry - this time of year I do the Carhart concealment ;)
I suppose I need one of those old western style gunbelts

you lucky skunks!
no OC for me in FLNot yet, But for some unexplainable reason I have high hopes that that will change in the next few years.
I don't think that I would ever open carry on a regular basis but it's nice to have the option.
I was driving down 17-92 last year a notice a guy on a motorcycle carrying a gun on his hip.
The wind was whipping his cover garment up and the gun was plainly visible and was drawing lots of stares technically he was committing misdemeanor open carry.
Would have sucked to get pinched on a technicality.

I envy you Arizona guys for open carry, but I believe I'll stay over here in TX. I would love open carry, in fact that will be my next political letter to my Reps. here. I'd go for a leather waist appliance, and a big revolver. And if planning a road trip, I'd get some sort of shoulder rig. (My horse is iron, with 4 tires.)

That happens to be my birthday! It is also happens to be Groundhogs Day.
Here in Florida, I do not think I will carry open on my birthday, else, like the groundhog, I might now see my shadow for a verrry long time:what:

Open carry here in Nevada all the time. None say anything because most are carring in the summer and just concealed in the winter because it's cold.
hope you all have a good day.

If I open carry on 2/2, I won't be able to conceal the pneumonia I come down with after going out without a jacket in 20 to -30 degree weather.

Here in FL, I can't even open carry in my house. The law won't let me do it outside the house and the wife won't let me do it inside!

Sometimes I figure I could get away with it while wearing dress clothes as long as I acted like I was supposed to be doing it, but I haven't got the guts to try it yet.
