I got my Commander today and took it to the range.
I never had a 1911 so fearing the worst(after all the gun was only $339....I took some bullets for my SP101,just in case.I figured if this thing is a Jamomatic I'll shoot the SP.
To my joy and amazement.....100+ rounds,no jams,no stoppages.I used Federal FMJ,Wolf, and Winchester hollowpoints.
Everyting fed like a dream. The gun shoots to the right for me(my usual).A friend is going to move the rear sight for me.It grouped really good, off hand at about 15yrds,firing rather quickly my groups were about 3".Good for me.
All in all I love the gun.
Only draw back,a PIA to put back together after cleaning...took about 10 minutes of sweating and swearing but it came back together.
See you on the 1911 forum!!!:D

Yeah,I don't usually use Wolf, but I figured if it feeds Wolf ,anything else will work too.I like Blazer for cheap ammo, but the gun shop was out.
I was especially happy that the hollowpoints worked. buddy has a Defender that only feeds FMJ from Speer.I can't wait to tell him that my colt feeds everything!!:D

Reassembly gets easier with practice. After all, the targeted time for field-strip & reassemble while blindfolded is one minute.

Welcome to the world of Real Handguns Tony. You will never regret moving up to a 1911 type semiauto.

Is this a Colt? Series 80, or what?
