I have the Wolverine version, which is edge-tempered to RC63. Awesome friggin' knife. Sharp and stays sharp, cuts, slices, whittles and chops without problems. They are reliable survival and general-use knives which I have used in the Sierras as well as the Rockies.
The only problem I have with Kellam is their pricing. You can get as-good-as or better knives for much less via eBay or thru www.ragweedforge.com.
If you are a little bit handy, you can buy the blades and make your own knife. The blade used in the Kellam Puukko is by Lauri-Finland, you can buy the blade from Thompson's Scandinavian for $9.50. If you want to get a tempered version, it is only $18.50. http://home.comcast.net/~bradjarvis3/lauricarbon.html
