Be patient and send an email asking if he got your order. He's a small shop.

Plain jane, but superior design, handling and edge holding ability. Everybody should have at least on quality scandi knife.

Oh, btw Skippy, I'm impressed that you've shown the maturity to get a quality knife that will outperform probably 99% of the knives sold this year to anyone nearly close to your age. Most folks buy a first knife with no knowledge of how to use it or care for it or sharpen it. Many of them spend silly sums on things that look cool, but won't be able to teach them how to use a knife. You've picked a classic for yours and it will help you learn what a knife is for. Resist the urge to throw it or stab with it and remember it's a tool that sets you above the animals.

Next is to get an inexpensive sharpening set and learn to sharpen and you'll be well on your way to knowing more about knives than I do.:D

I almost bought this Puma Rattler at Cabela's today, but I decided to see if I could find one online cheaper:

The Mora is very good knife. I have wasted tons of money on knives that cost 10 times as much and were pieces of garbage. There's a survival book called 98.6 Degrees. The Mora is the knife that the author recommends.

thanks for the compliment hso, your right about the sharpening, ill have to get my dads friend to teach me how, he's a big hunter and outdoors man so he'll definetly kno how to do it, im not big into what looks cool, and ive heard moras a big bang for their buck so im glad i picked it instead of something else

just got my mora, first impression (dont take this in high esteem since im less than an ametur) is that it is a well made knife and will have enough bang for the buck to hold me over until i get my roselli hunter puukko, my pops is teaching me how to sharpen so that will help my cause, thanks for the input.

You won't get much for $30, but look into a basic Swiss Army knife. Think in terms of a tool. Everything on a Swiss Army knife works and is a tool.
