Well I used to hang around " The firingline " but since the site got locked I`ve been over at " Firearms forum " and now I`ll guess I`ll stay here for a while since the board seems / is very active .

I`m a 23 year old male student from Norway :) , been interested
in firearms since I was 5 , though I don`t " theoretically " own any yet .

Did 3 years of competition shooting ( 13-15 Y ) with air and 22cal

Uuh, I see a growing number of Norwegians on this board. :what:
Disproportionately more than Germans, Austrians, French, British or other Europeans.

Must have something to do with the much better knowledge of English that the Norwegians have. ;)

Anyways, welcome on board! :D

Velkommen, landsmann!

Hm. Student. In Oslo? If so, send me a pm. I'm the president of the Academic Shooting Club at the University of Oslo, and we'll have you shooting and owning firearms the fastest way we can. We shoot airguns (rifle and pistol), ISSF and "felt" (field target, national pistol sport), and 300m rifle.

As the newest resident Norwegian, you have now been assigned to help the rest of us enlighten those cocksure 'murricans on the realities of gunowning in Europe. We're not all Englishmen over here ...

Even better than the English?????

Probably has more to do with the ease that Norwegians have to actually own guns over the other folks on the Continent.

a) More Norwegians than British because they have more guns / are more interested in guns.

b) More Norwegians than French/Germans/Austrians/other Europeans because their English is better.

Ah, wait, b) would also imply that there had to be more Norwegians than ... eh ... nevermind. :D

T. Stahl,

BTW, what does the "not much longer" in your location line mean?

Are you coming to our side of the pond to help establish a "gunowners paradise" by adding another tool-using human to the voter registration/naturalized citizen rolls?

Uuh, I see a growing number of Norwegians on this board.

Could be that since Al Qaeda has declared war on Norway, we Americans have more in common with them than with most continential Europeans.

The Norwegians, Swedes, and Finns all seem to be able to lay hands on better toys in some cases than we can here in the States.

Dang, I'd love to hunt moose with a suppressed 6.5x55...
...or have a SiG550....

Regards,
Rabbit.

Hi, Swamp Rabbit, I found a picture on a Finnish website. Maybe this is something for the Brady-bunch. If you can use the words three-year old, machine gun and suppressor in the same sentence, maybe their heads will explode... It's all for the children, you know. :D

Skunk, Kirk, Schuey - you have all fallen victim to brainwashing. We now have you at the Pavlovian stage, you know the dogs that started to drool when they heard the food-bell. As soon as "Norway" is mentioned, you guys think "women" and start drooling on your keyboards. It seems that the Germans too have had considerable success with "subject Schuey"; he also drools at the mere mention of the letters H and K. :D

Torsten, did you ever get around to that Norwegian hiking trip you talked about last year? If my memory serves, I offered to buy you a beer if you make a stop in Oslo. If you can recruit your friends and NonServiam's girlfriend gives him a night off, we could make it a real THR gathering... :)

Norwegian, it looks like your thread is drifting a bit off topic. Once again, welcome to the boards, and as NonServiam said, whenever you find yourself in Oslo, send us a mail and we will take you shooting. And be advised, just your choice of screen name is enough to make the troika mentioned above go off topic and start talking about girls...
