I went to the gun club today to do some trap and sporting clay shooting, I was doing pretty crappy untill I got to the sporting clays event. I hit the single, I hit the following pair, then I dusted the double WITH ONE SHOT! I was stunned for a moment, then everyone clapped and I recieved my accolates for the great shot I was the only person to do it today. I shot good for the rest of the sporting clay stations, missing 3. An older shooter I vaugley knew that I've seen out there before asked me if I was interested in going bird hunting with him, I was flattered and gave him my number.
People have told me that if you shoot a 25 straight or have a really good shot such as mine that I would become popular, well so far so true.
Is this like a once-in-a-lifetime shot or is it more common than Im aware of?

I've never shot sporting clays but I did the same thing hunting doves. One shot took two of them down, second shot hit a third bird. It was really hard to shrug it off like "No big deal" in front of my buddies!

Congrats! That's a Scotch Double. Done a few, mostly by chance.

Nite that the more you shoot, the better you get, and the more these happen.
