Greeting's All-

Owner's of all models of Kel Tec's with the blued finish on their slides
will be pleased to know that one way of protecting them from rust is
by the use of Armadillo by Blue Wonder. Clean the slide thorougly, and
then apply a coating of the Armadillo as directed; followed by a light
coat of Eezox. With the regular wiping of the firearm with a silicone
cloth, you should not have too worry about the formation of rust. ;)

I hosed mine down with Duracoat. Not only do I no longer have to worry about the formation of rust but I could probably deflect small arms fire with the coating on the slide as well. :)

Ya, deflect right to your face.:what: I just modded a holster and lined it with some glued in silicone cloth. Every time my P3AT is holstered, it gets silicone treated. Hasn't rusted in over 1 full year of pocket carry. It has gotten a little linty though.:)

I heard about that on the Keltec forum...

WHen I eventually have a problem, I plan to just send the slide out to CCR for a stainless looking duracoat.

Rust? I've had my P-11 for a lot of years and never had any rust problems, no holster I have a clip draw on it. I use CLP to lubricate and protect.

I've always used an old indian trick to prevent my guns from rusting.

It's called "an oiley rag."

Been carrying and storing my P3AT in a Galco Horsehide holster. I hosed it down with Sheath Rust Preventative, with no issues. It's not as pretty as when I got it, but no rust either.
